For this trick you need to jump with your trailing foot first.

Take a diagonal run up and jump for the rail tweaking your trailing foot onto its outside edge as it hits. Swing your leading foot upwards and grab it with your arm (right arm if you're goofy, left arm if you're regular). Use your free arm to balance as you slide by holding it out horizontally from your side. Lean forwards focusing your weight over your grinding foot.
