For this trick you need to jump with your leading foot first.

Take a diagonal run up and jump for the rail tweaking your leading foot onto its inside edge as it hits. Lift your trailing foot upwards and grab it with your arm (left arm if you're goofy, right arm if you're regular). Use your free arm to balance as you slide by holding it out horizontally from your side. Lean forwards focusing your weight over your grinding foot.
