It doesn't matter whether you jump front or back foot first for this trick so go with your preferred method.

Take a diagonal run up and jump for the rail tweaking the back foot onto its outside edge and the front foot onto its inside edge. Place the majority of your weight on your back foot. Lean very slightly forward over your feet. Your feet should be spread about shoulder width (or greater) apart. Use your arms to balance as you slide by holding them out horizontally from your sides.
